But some go so far that they break useful apps just to artificially claim more battery life. This even gets so absurd that with some vendors (e.g. Nokia, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Samsung or Huawei) our smartphones are becoming dumbphones again.”

Here are some tips for Dump1090 to prevent that.

Dump1090 Export

With Dump1090 you can share received live data via TCP connections in popular formats such as AVR , Beast and Base Station (SBS-1) format.

You can also save all received data to CSV files and share them for later analysis.

What’s needed

What is necessary to build an mobile “to go” ADS-B receiver with your Android phone, tablet, TV-Box.

In this post I will show you buying links to components like USB Cable, RTL-SDR Dongle, Antenna.

Estimate total costs from 20€ to 50€ with good hardware components from Aliexpress. Could be the half if you already have some components.

What is it ?

The app turns your Android phone, tablet or TV box into an ADS-B receiver and displays received aircraft on a map.
Please note that my basic idea was not to replace Raspberry Pi style receivers or similar. This should give you the ability to see aircraft on your mobile devices in a portable way.
